As Requested by Prof. Dutch Bag here it is, the cover for the NES version of The Running Man ( Power Pad required!) As Prof. Dutch Bag informed, the was a video game adaptation but not for the NES. If you have any suggestions for a box art, please leave a comment.
This result is awesome!! Thank you for doing it.I have a couple of suggestions for possible classic game box art for a future occasion. I think The Goonies (1985) has the perfect nostalgic appeal and wonderful art direction. The posters, sets and general visual feel of the movie should make this one easy as pie. Now, if you're looking for something more challenging, I have another. How about merging two classics into one? Sort of like a cross-over. How about combining Metroid with Castlevania? The fabled "Metroidvania". It would be a very interesting game. They wouldn't even have to be the originals either. They could be Super Castlevania IV and Super Metroid... or any other one (Dracula's Curse box art is interesting as well).
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it! Actually, there was a Goonies game for the NES (made by Konami) but was released only in Japan. The sequel, Goonies II made it overseas and I know I rented that game but don't remember much of it (it has something to do with a mermaid). A Castlevania / Metroid crossover would be epic! I'll try to finish it for this Friday, if not, I'll post it next week.
