Starting December 11th, comiXology is giving an issue of a popular series free of charge for 12 days (it ends on December 22nd). There is a new comic each day so be sure to check every day because you may not be able get the book from previous days. If you're interested, it is better to check the website instead of the app since you'll find the link with the comic of the day faster. Check it out!

The Fash Digital Comics Sale!

 To celebrate the release of the new TV series, DC is having a massive Flash sale. This includes issues from the New 52, Pre-Flashpoint, FlashPoint mini, Flash Rebirth mini and even tons of issues from the classic Wally West series (Yay!!!). Each issue is at $0.99 and the sale ends next Monday (10/13/2014) at 11 PM. Check here for more details. There is also a Walking Dead and Transformers sale.

Uncanny Avengers Digital Comic Sale

 With the AXIS event fast approaching, Marvel is having an Uncanny Avengers (the series leading up to the event) sale with each issue at $0.99 each. Sale ends Monday at 11PM. Check here for more details.

With the 75 anniversary celebration, DC Comics is having a $.99 an issue sale for 7 days! .It is a great opportunity to catch up with the Caped Crusader's adventures. Claremont/Lee X-Men Sale

Batman Manga from the 60's released

Last Saturday, DC released the first part of the Batman Manga (by Jiro Kuwata) as part of it's digital first series. New chapters will be added each weekend and will cost $0.99 (I think). Look for it on comiXology and Android Play Store.

Captain America Digital Comics Sale

Being the 4th of July,Marvel is having a $.99 sale of the 2002-2004 and current Marvel Now series.
Sale ends this Sunday, check it out at comiXology.

There are also Digital Comics sales for publishers Dynamite and IDW.

Nightwing Digital Comics Sale!!!

With a week away from the release of Grayson #1, DC Comics is having a $.99 an issue sale for 7 days!
This includes all the issues from his Pre - Battle for the Cowl series, most of this New 52 one and a couple of One Shots and New Teen Titan. If you are a fan of the character, check it out at comiXology and Google Play Store (via an Android device). I'm not sure if it's also on Apple's App Store.

Viz Media titles are available at comiXology

Viz Media, one of the few manga publishers left in the US has released close to 500 volumes of popular manga series (such as Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya and Death Note) for the popular digital format distributor comiXology. Awesome news and I hope the digital format opens the doors in the west to lesser known titles. You can purchase via the website or the app.

Oh, and comiXology (or Amazon), please fix the payment method for Android and iOS or release some kind of gift card for those of us who don't like to use credit cards.

The new Comixology Update is... dissapointing

Today, without any warning or previous announcement, Comixology updated their mobile app for Android and iOS. This update includes a new cart system for a faster purchase experience, includes Paypal and credit cards as payment options, and bug fixs. Sounds great, right? Well, it's not. While these features are great there is a disappointing restriction for each platform.

Superior Spider-Man Digital Comics Sale and More!!!

Just in time for the second Amazing movie, Comixology is having a Superior Spidey sale, which includes issues from 1-22 from the series, Superior Spider-Man Team Up 1-4, and Superior Foes of Spider-Man 1-6. The main Superior series is fantastic and highly recomended. Sale ends April 27, 2014.

Also, DC is offering discounts on retellings of the origin of some of their most popular characters with the Secret Origins Digital Comics Sale. This includes the popular stories like Batman Year One, Man of Steel and JLA Year One. Worth checking out. Sale ends April 28, 2014.

The third one is a Transformers Dark Cybertron Sale. I'm not familiar with this comic series but it has the 80's animated series character designs. If you are interested, check the issues available and see what you can find. Sale ends April 27, 2014.

And finally, a The Darkness Sale that includes issues (1-115) and digital collections. I haven't read this series, so I can't tell how good it this. But, if you are interested, it's a great time to check it out. Sale ends April 28, 2014.

Adventures of Superman (2013) is coming to an end...

or so it seems judging from the description of the series latest issue:

"In the series' final chapter, legends Jerry Ordway and Steve Rude tell the story of Superman's first encounter with a hero from the future--OMAC: the One-Man Army Corps"

Well, it was good while it lasted. This digital-first anthology had some of the best Superman stories in years. We'll have to wait and see if another volume is released (like Injustice) of is replased by a different title altogether. Adventures of Superman can be found in the Comixology website (and smartphone app) and in print edition.

Green Arrow Digital Comics Sale!

ComiXology is having a massive Green Arrow sale, 99 cents each of the selected issues. This includes some Golden Ages stories, a couple of 60's, 70's and  80's issues (including a few New Teen Titans ones from the classic Wolfman/Perez run) and most of the New 52 series. Might pick a couple of issues from Jeff Lemire's run. Sale ends next Monday.

There is also an X-Files sale that ends tomorrow.
