Public Domain Halloween Feature: Nosferatu

This is the last full horror movie for this year. As with the others the film is in public domain (you can download it legally). The feature film for Halloween is Nosferatu (1922), one of the first vampire movies.

Nosferatu was adapted from the novel Dracula without permission and therefore the names of the characters were changed (in some versions). This movie is amazing. The camera shots, the music and, of course, the vampire. Count Orlok (Dracula) is visually unique. While not as iconic as Dracula (the Bela Lugosi or Christopher Lee version) he still appears in pop culture (he is one of the bosses in Castlevania Symphony of the Night). A must watch for fans of horror or movies in general. You can download the film (legally) from the Internet Archives.
