What is going to happen to Nightwing Post-Forever Evil

The following post contains spoilers.

It looks like the Big Two(Marvel and DC) love to spoil their popular story lines months before the issues are shipped. Dick Grayson (aka Nightwing) was unmasked, captured and seemly killed in the pages of Forever Evil; but it seems he'll somewhat survive. While Nighwing will be no more (at least for a couple of years) Dick Grayson becomes a secret spy (well, of course).

Grayson #1
USA Today broke the news yesterday with the announcement of the new comic book series "Grayson" with the creative team of Tim Seeley & Tom King (writers) and Mikel Janín (artist). This series promises to explore how the character will be thorn between fighting for a greater cause and hardship of pretending to be someone else to his loved ones. The new team also wants to "lean" into the character's status as a comic book sex symbol (will he be DC's equivalent to James Bond or Austin Powers?).

For the series, Dick will trade his super-hero costume for a new uniform that will contain elements from the character's visual history. The issue's cover presents him with a gun; which may cause some controversies due to the character's connections with Batman, but we'll have to wait and see. The first issue comes out in July.

While it's great that DC wants to publish a spy comic book, I'm thorn on this one. It's clear that using a characters that's almost 75 years old will bring readers, somehow I don't see this book lasting for long and Dick returning to his Nightwing persona. Either way, I'll give it a shot. I like how DC takes some chances and publishes other genre besides super-heroes.
